Authorities are investigating the death of a woman identified as Woodson, who was pronounced dead at her apartment inside the Palmetto Creek complex on Citrus Boulevard after deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a disturbance.

According to the Jefferson Parish Coroner’s Office, Woodson was pronounced dead at her residence shortly after deputies arrived at the scene following a report of a disturbance shortly after 10 a.m. Emergency personnel and law enforcement officers reached the apartment complex within minutes of the call and immediately secured the area as they assessed the situation.

Deputies were dispatched to the complex after reports of a disturbance inside one of the units. Upon arrival, officers made contact with individuals at the scene and entered the residence, where they located Woodson unresponsive. Despite emergency response efforts, she was pronounced deceased at the scene by the coroner’s office.

Authorities have not released details regarding the circumstances surrounding her death, and officials have not confirmed whether foul play is suspected.
